Perhaps the worst compliment ever...
L, a good friend of mine and I were having coffee earlier today. She is a fellow writing instructor, and she shared with me what had to be the worst compliment ever.
One of her students IMed her:
"Your the best writing instructor ever!"
Indeed.

Hukked on fonics werked 4 me !
Is the smart person the one that writes about nothing, but does it with perfect grammer. Or the on that has enough life experience and insight to write with purpose, but with grammer errors?
I bet you would still enjoy reading Hemingway if the editors didn't correct his grammer. In fact, I will put up 3 to 5 odds on that.
